Through the help of Waste Management, Camp Buffalo is proud to have 2 wetland areas on camp. The first, a smaller wetland, is by our pond, Liberty Lake. The second, a much larger wetland, is located in the far northeast part of camp. Both offer a great way to observe wildlife. The larger wetland has an observation blind and foot bridges to wander through the entire area.
The smaller wetland had a lot of vegetation. It is next to the pond
The smaller wetland also has natural structure, such as the tree and rocks, to promote wildlife habitat.
The larger wetland has a walk path to go from one end to the other, and foot bridges to cross small pools.
There is also an observation blind in the larger wetland to observe the wildlife without notice.
